On April 25, 2022, Chevrolet announced the hybrid Chevy Corvette with a tweet heard around the world stating, “An electrified #Corvette will be available as early as next year and a fully electric version to follow,” with a 30-second video of a camouflaged, yet instantly recognizable, Corvette Z06 displaying power dispersed to all four wheels during a snow test. General Motors President, Mark Reuss, released a statement on his LinkedIn stating, “[Chevrolet] will offer an electrified and a fully electric, Ultium-based Corvette in the future”. Reuss also announced Chevy’s plans to make EVs more efficient, using the natural heat generated by the batteries to warm up the interior, enhance charging conditions, and improve acceleration, and increase the vehicle’s range by approximately 10%. What’s the Difference Between the EV and the EUV?
According to MotorTrend, the 2022 Chevy Bolt EV is a tall hatchback, whereas the 2022 Chevy Bolt EUV is a compact SUV with a five to six-inch longer wheelbase, which we believe will provide a more spacious backseat. It’s too soon to know what the exact EPA-rated driving range will be, but we can expect at least 250 miles. Since the 2020 Chevy Bolt hatchback reaches up to 259 miles, we hope that the new advanced technology will allow for an even higher range – maybe even 300 miles. The 2022 Chevy Bolt EUV will also be the first Bowtie model to offer Super Cruise, a premium feature that creates hands-free driving.
